A Toronto woman is facing a slew of human trafficking charges after allegedly convincing another woman to work in the sex trade, then taking all her money.

Officers say Rose Hejazi, 22, was arrested on Tuesday.

According to police, Hejazi recruited another 22-year-old woman, using “deception and coercion” to get her to have sex for money.

Police allege Hejazi kept all of the money, as the victim was trafficked throughout Toronto.

She’s charged with: trafficking in persons by recruiting, trafficking in persons by exercising control, material benefit from person over 18 years, advertising another person’s sexual services, procuring, material benefit from sexual services and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Officers are concerned there could be other victims. Hejazi’s photo has been released.
